Position: Executive Director / Terms: Full time / Salary Range:
$55,000 to $60,000 / Closing Date: until filled

Context: The ihuman Youth Society is a registered charitable
organization whose mission is to work with high-risk youth and to
promote their reintegration into the community through a process
involving crisis intervention, arts mentorship and career
development programs. The ihuman Board of Directors seeks an
Executive Director to provide dynamic leadership for all ihuman
activities & guide & support the work of a small staff.

Position Abstract: The Executive Director is a self starter who will
be responsible for maintaining and building effective relationships
with community partners, funders, businesses, voluntary sector
agencies, representatives of governments. The successful candidate
will have significant experience in comprehensive community building
in the non profit sector + a proven ability to raise funds in the
private and public sector. Strong business/organizational skills
essential and past experience with troubled youth in the social
sector or arts fields an asset.

She/He will have a reputation for flexibility, creative thinking,
innovation and an enthusiastic commitment to a cause. The successful
candidate's communication skills will be exceptional and should
demonstrate an ability to balance inclusive processes with the
achievement of outcomes.
