Journey to Light: the Art of ihuman
7-11pm, March 15, 2008 at the Art Gallery of Alberta
Journey to Light is a night of inspired youth creativity. Watch a bubbling cauldron of visual arts mixed with original fashion, dance, and music. Join our Journey to Light and be a witness to the original talent of youth-at-risk on their own artistic journey. On the eve of March 15 at the Art Gallery of Alberta, ihuman youth will strut the fashion runway in their personally designed and sewn garments. As well, be prepared to be awed at the B-Boys acrobatic dance feats and to be touched by the quality of youth art, music, and poetry.

Boyle Street Block Party: a memorial for Tony Gladue
When: Saturday, Aug. 11th, 2-6pm
Where: Boyle Street Park, on 95st & 104Ave
Why: We are gathering to recognize all those who face oppression within
our society, and to honor the faceless youth who have lost their
lives in the "system", due to the violence within it. We are
gathering to celebrate the memory of Tony "Anthom" Gladue, a
passionate and powerful writer, poet, and emcee, who passed away
while in the care of Children Services, 2006.
